last night was fun. it was my free day in london, so i woke up at like 1pm an just chilled out, ate some pasta, played some bomberman, yknow the usual stuff.
Then we ended up getting into town about 6pm and we went straight to carnaby street and the american apparel store… man if i lived in london id be soo broke. id just go there, spend cash, walk down the road, buy some vans at the vans store, get some hi-tops from size and end up dropping mad billz in the apple store then buying too many fashion magazines in borders. along with wayy too much starbucks while im at it. so yeah. i spent like £80 in AA, £80 i needed for trains really…
then we missioned to borders and the apple store.. eventually we decided it was time to get to angel, we were meant to be going to see a movie by the islington academy. needless to say… the show times where whack, so we just went for a drink.. at which point i recieved a call from the lovely this provdence guys, informing me of them attending a show near kings cross.. we arrived there. said hello. had a drink. we sat. played with melting candles. then i realised the band playing was the atticus state. wooooo! and THEN i found out fleeing from finales were headlining.. bigger WOOOO! hahaha! i was stooooked!
i had no idea they were playing, and it was a guy called Mike’s birthday.. he’s someone who knows someone who knows someone i once knew i think. or something like that. but yeah, that was doope.
massive stage invasion, and instruments flying around. cue me being behind a microphone singing for the first time in my life to “mighty ducks vs. thundercats”. embarassing.
THEN! after that finished, they decided it would be fun to start doing a Pop, Bubble, Rock! themed DJ set. Taking back sunday, jimmy eat world, fall out boy, linkin park, panic at the disco, and all that stuff. thing is, it was more funny seen as this providence were there. i did request them , but they had no songs. i thought it would be funny. like when omar from hit the lights requested hit the lights in satans. anyway. i digress.
but basically, the pinnacle of the night was them playing paramore “misery business” and everyone present that was on the tour, just got on stage and basically rocked the fuck out. it was intense. i hope facebook and youtube videos don’t appear of me jumping and air drumming and doing “josh and hayley” styled headbanging. that would be tragic.
then we just left, and walked around for a good hour and a half, an hour or so looking for food. sean settled for subway and i think the rest of us went to some *kebob* place.. i got a chip pitta, with doner meat, salad, chilli and garlic sauce for only £2.50! win!
we waited at a bus stop for a good 20 minutes, got them on a bus to heathrow or somewhere, and waited for another bus for us to get home.
that was my night. all in all, im glad i came on this tour for sure.
right now, im on the train to birmingham, so i guess ill post this when i get there and get the internet.
anyway, thats it for now.. my arms ache.
peace and love!
